A case study on how a project initial idea can evolve to the final design.

This project started with the idea of adding an additional 49SF of covered space to an existing covered area (one 7'x7' area on the southwest corner). Owners are ardent cornhole enthusiasts (and frequent hosts) and, by adding this space, would have a fully enclosed, regulation size area to play.

Evolution of the project and the idea of a continuous space/ceiling volume pushed this project further to a 75% rebuild of the roof. New defining roof line on the exterior led to a continuous volume on the interior side. Moving powered screens to new locations kept it full enclosed and new LED lighting (dimmable) was added. The updates now give these owners a space for more memories to form.
